Merrickville, also dubbed 'the Jewel of the Rideau', has become a favourite weekend getaway spot on the gorgeous Kingston-Ottawa Rideau Heritage Route. Located near the mid-point of the canal system, Merrickville evokes fond memories of times gone by.
